Lisa, the weather was perfect up there. I was concerned because there is still snow in places. It was probably 60+ a few. Perfect for a hike. There are campgrounds up there, too. doug and I are thinking of spending a few days up there before school gets out. I'd like to hit upper falls, too, even though I hear it's not as nice as middle falls. Kind of a let down.

The flickr group is talking about doing a camping outing at burney falls this summer

We checked out castle crags camping areas yesterday on the way home. We might do that too this summer

I miss camping so much. Will be good to get back to fun activities like this with the new family

lisa, we go to burney and eagle lake every summer. burney camp area has a lot of yellow jackets in the summer so be prepared for that by keeping your area clean of food. HAHAHA....good luck with that and kids. :)

about a decade ago I was watching the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, and when he went to light a cig, the flame went up from his waist to the cig - like 4' --- hahaha

ever since then, an opportunity comes up and I think; "I wish I had a mini flamethrower!".:-))
