Since it is downright hot outside and hardly any birds right now, I decided to play around with the new macro.
Saw this bug swimming in the pool and took it's pic. Didn't notice the hitchhikers/babes until I put it on the computer(view original). Anyone know what it is?

it's some kind of beetle eh? I never realized any packed their young around with em and doesn't look too good either with one wing sticking out like that.

I think it is a Glossy Pillbug Beetle that fell in....they usually dwell in the ground

I like the macro too but you can't get that close to birds with a macro and they are my fave. :) You do wonderful macros!

benny..a toy bug? Like I'd have a toy bug. You can hear me screaming a mile away if a bug gets too close to me. This one was safe because it was in the pool. :)
