Yes agree! heartbreaking, especially so as this was a cherished person given the beautiful tomb stone. Its surprising as the 'ancestors' are held in awe so its a mystery this destruction in particular. Consolation is if we believe in the cross we belief in an afterlife of some form.

Yip - but I am going to uplift the stone and reerect it where it might be cared for - It is a McDonald Tombstone - my African ancestors - part of the 1820 settlers from the UK
