The color ranged from gold-to-brown-to-yellow depending where on the body you were looking. I found it very interesting to spend some time looking at him/her! :-)

Fortunately air temperatures are getting warmer (27C) on the blacktop even warmer, so s/he might come and visit again! :-)
Down here we are all sun worshippers and sometimes....nudists LOL

No chance of being road kill. S/he was found on a very quiet street in my complex that borders two water ways and has lots of brush. :-)

I think Florida is a lot like the Caribbean islands.... a good place to live!

You are right. Today, and the rest of the week, it will be in the mid-80's (about 30C). When the temperature drops to the 70's; I put on extra clothing because it is cold! LOL
The ONLY gotcha is that we will be approaching hurricane season! There is a price to be paid for everything! :-)

Luckily the hurricanes usually pass way north of Curacao. Leaving my nuts safe and sound hanging where they are. At night the temperature drops to 82. The past 3 months the day temps have been between 84 to 89. Have not yet needed extra clothing (except at the office where the airco chills it to 70F).

Here the price to pay isnt very high: you have to learn papiamentu and spanish :) a lot of people do speak english and dutch so even if you havent learned, you wont have much problems. Speaking the other two languages just makes it easier to get around.

Thanks for the review. But the everglades are many miles away from this location. We are on a canal that is blocked for water control. There are many different animals hiding around houses and buildings. Always interesting to walk around here! LOL
