Rob Wigboldus Vishandel - GREAT place to go when in Amsterdam, I highly recommend you to eat a sandwich made of hollandse nieuwe with pickles (pickled herring with pickles). This is the first place I could eat this dutch specialty. Also, we ate some eel sandwiches (that are really nice, although not as good as herring)

(Ok, if you are not such a fish fan you don't have to eat eel, but going to the Netherlands and not eating herring is missing a great deal of fun)

If you are brave enough, you can ask him what the sandwiches are made of (English is very well spoken there). If you don't like raw herrings, you don't need to ask :D

That is a great place, very calm, even though it is in the center of Amsterdam (Zoutsteeg 6) and Rob himself is a great person! I cannot forget his smiling face when telling us that "stores HAVE to close down when the channels freeze - everybody must go ice skating!".

Esse é o Rob Wigboldus, e ele tem um lugar de comer peixe (Vishandel). Os sanduíches são simples, podem ser arenques, enguias, salmões todos muito gostosos. O melhor é conversar com ele (que fala inglês muito bem) e descobrir que o arenque que você acabou de comer é cru de tudo!
