Wonderful series and fascinating info!

Sort of compound, a pitty that it must be this way. In the Netherlands they are now also built. When we looked for new accommodation, we have seriously considered to buy a house in such a compound.

Senna.. yes .. we found it a bit more relaxed to stay in a "compound" :-)

we are lucky.. it is very quiet and peacefull here... although some of the houses
did have "breakins.. " and we will have to lock up for the duration of our time
spending in USA... :(
this area used to be small holdings.... Or houses with BIG land... and the
builders buy it.... build a couple of houses.... sell it and make a big profit...
well... good for them.. :-)

looks nice ... lots of space ... but really pity to hear that " for safety " part ...

Jceca.. yes we are living in sad times....!! so much violence...!
it is just a very difficult time for Africa .. I think.... some countries
a bit more fortunate than others... but still... Africa is Africa...!!

LizSa, it is a sign of the times...when we traveled to Orland a couple of years ago, we rented a beautiful big home with a pool...I was surprised that the whole neighborhood was fenced in...It took getting used to but it was a safe beautiful place to be!
