Honour, Remember, Respect.

I discovered these in a garden in Baldivis, Western Australia last November and held them to post this ANZAC Day 2010. They are a statue of a New Zealand and an Australia soldier at the base of a Flag pole flying the Australia Flag.

Hi John ... nice tribute. Anzac day here was further saddened by the tragedy near Wellington with three young airforce pilots loosing their lives . So very sad .

Yes that was; we did see TV footage of that sad accident here in WA. The Iroquois is a Vietnam-era helicopter and no matter how well the servicemen and women maintain the machinces, they are, sadly, going to do fail because of their age. They have been a vital workhorse for the NZAF and like the Orion and C130 Hercules, many people owe their lives to these machinces.
I thank you for your comment Marg.
