A group of people stand on the viewing platform waiting to be taken out to the 'building' hanging in the middle of the gorge; a specially constructed high-wire pod. This is the Nevis Bungy Jumping platform, Queenstown, New Zealand, which I jumped from this day.
Australasia's Highest Bungy at 134m, 8.5 seconds of free fall.

I wouldn't criticise anyone that doesn't want to do this Hans, it's just one of these things you want to do or you don't, end of story. I've done two, 64m and this one at 134m, and I would do another one at the drop of a hat; next stop jumping out of a plane, with a parachute of course. :-)

Thanks for all the great comments Glenn.
Anyone that doesn't experience fear when doing this has ice water running in their veins. Overcoming that fear is the key; some people can, some quite easily, others can not overcome it and never will; then there are those of us that have the strong fear but are able to overcome it and do what they wanted to do; a bit like living life in general really. :-)
