It was very clear Ron, (but hardly summer); and that was the thing that made it so much more interesting from a photographic point of view because the low sun at this time of year changed the light and the reflections so much and so quickly I found myself taking captures of the same things more than once or twice.
Christchurch is only 'up the road'; can't be that much different. :-)
