To commemorate Armistice Day 11.11.2009, here in Australia, this is the front page of the West Australian Newspaper.
I dedicate this to all the 'ordinary' men and women of all colour, creed and nation who fought for freedom in the belief they were making a different and/or in a sense of duty to their fellow man.
At 11am today, the anniversary of the end of Worlld War I, we had just arrived at the beach for a swim, this to me reminds me of the sacrifices made to win me that freedom.
Footnote: WWI officially ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 1918.
Lest we forget.

Bro, we had a front page capture of the World War 2 P51-D Mustang fighter which flew across Dunedin But unfortunately the cannon that was supposed to go at the same time was misfired, bit too early. This was our cities commemoration of those brave persons. Unable to get outside myself to see but certainly heard it at work.

I have captures of the Mustang when it flow over the city last Remembrance Day celebrations, that's when I had captures printed in D-scene newspaper; does that still have that competition going? I have the canvas of my capture hanging in the short hall here.
Those cannons have been a very 'hit and miss' affair ever since they started using them.

Yes they still have the page with people's captures in D scene. A far as I am aware they still have the prize/s.!?
