Inside a large engineering workshop I visited. Note the size of the wheels compared to the height of the man, and they aren't headlights, but in fact four air intakes, your average car has one.

now this is a Huge truck ... a Caterpillar ?? ... i guess to use in the mines up north ??

Thanks Wijine, they sure are big. I sure that this is the truck I got stuck behind going up the Great Eastern Highway a couple of weeks ago; it was being transported on another big truck.

Hi Hans. I not sure that Caterpillar is used as much around here anymore; their motors and running gear certainly will be but not the whole plant. This machine was built from the ground up in this workshop, also, there is a lot of new mining machinery going into the Eastern desert and down South. I have heard that Bonnington in the south will soon be bigger than the 'Super-pit' in Kalgoorlie, which at the moment, is the biggest pit in the world.
