the air actually cleared up
winds hit... not strong though... enough to clear things up
hope it's not making matters worse in the fighting of the fire
i hear from ManiacMom that the air strikes have started back up now though since they can actually see
so as long as the wind stays mild it might be a help in many ways
at least my eyes aren't watering anymore and the kids aren't coughing

you can see the fires... a very few of the grand total... if you look full size

yes they have and ya the birds here are flying again on the lake

felt bad for the egret today.... kinda just sitting still as he could

i even left him alone with my camera stalking so as to not make him fly to get away from me

there's a company up in Redding that was giving away breathing masks today
saw it on the http://www.redding.com site... thought that was very nice

ya it really is so very sad
we live with this every year though not usually this bad this soon
it's going to be a long fire season here this year

jeff and i were very very near a lightening strike on saturday.. luckily no fire started as we were in the middle of a big forest with one way out

it's a shame that these fires crop up - not quite so bad when nature starts it (part of the cycle) but still not so good

but living with that and earthquakes to live there - totally worth it!!
