We had a busy day yesterday. Took our marine vet friend out for lunch (can you believe his boss didn't offer him a day off?!) Went to Turtle Bay Exploration Park and then went to this site. The Veterans Flag flies high and proud daily in Redding. They were having a fund raiser and so the kids placed money in the jar and got a little tour and educational talk. Funny part was that they kept asking the people there.... one by one.... "Are you a VET?" hehehehe nope.... nope.... nope.... all volunteers with a desire to honor family members and friends in their lives. It's about 60 feet long and just gorgeous to see waving up there. That ball at the top is about 2.5 feet across.
