Argh! Lake covered in ash this morning! Smoke is thick today.

And Geoff got transfered to a new location South of Almanor so we aren't going with him to the clean air! Dang it!

EDIT: the in-laws are under prelim evacuation in Mariposa, CA. Wildfires there are closing in on their mountain home. Geoff was on his way to Sac to deliver Jake to his mom and now will be continuing on to his parents' home to help pack the important things out of it. Please keep our family and others affected by these California fires in your prayers!

They are 100% contained in the lake almanor area though where we've been staying with Geoff

Exactly. I just hope jeff remembers that and doesn't stay with the house if the fire gets too close! Would be a dumb reason to die for a house. All imporant things are packed. I say just get the hell outta there. It's insured for goodness sake!

Lisa, that's too bad about Geoff's folks. I hope that it goes well for him. We drove out to Ono and Patina today. All those fires are out. I'm pretty sure that all our fires in Shasta county are out or contained at this point. The smoke is from lighting backfires up in Trinity County. I'm really tired of it. Thursday was the worst air ever. I didn't even go outside for two days.
