oh sometimes they have the ones with the suction cups that you can attach to the outside of a window.... or get an L shaped pot hanger and hang out the window and screw it in haha.... tell the landlord you have no idea how it got there ;-)
it really kinda sucks - we only have a sliding glass door out the back of the apartment. It opens to a concrete pad about 6' x 6'. The only thing I can do is hang something from the wooden deck off the apartment above me.
Only problem is - Roxy barks at birds... it tends to, well drive them off.;-(
