last week during the heavy winds and storms we had a new arrival at the lake....... the migrating female mudhens now have mates

the males are SO cute!!!!!! pretty white markings and big heads lol ;-)

that's what they do best Laura.... the second they hear the patio door latch they are running on the water! they are the most skittish things i've ever seen! i have to have the camera totally ready to fire or i get nuttin! lol
