For what I see it is a sand mountain, but is there also a trail?
and how long?

Actually this year Jeff took me on a little ride up to Memorial Point which overlooks Sand Mountain. It was probably a couple miles. You can also continue on and it takes you to the East side of the BLM area and you can overlook the bombing range that the military practices on. And of course at the base of the mountain all around it there are little trails but a lot of them are closing because of a rare blue butterfly that supposably only lives there.

Google Sand Mountain, Nevada... I think that'll show you it... it's on hwy 50 just east and south of Fallon, Nevada

I will post that overlook picture too... it's pretty amazing sight to see.
