Found on back porch after a paniced Selena came in to announce that there was a HUGE spider at the back door trying to gain entry! Now most times she reports this kind of thing it's a daddy long legs or something mellow... but NOT this time!!!!!!!! Of course the photographer brain overtook my scaredy cat brain and said wait don't squish him!!!! WHERE's THE CAMERA!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!
Funny note: he was trying to squeeze in under the screen door but his butt was way toooooooo in the way! LOL
last note lol: These are untouched photos... I can't even work these in my programs as the sight of them in full size is just giving me the willies BAD!!! so full view might be a treat if you are into that kind of thing....
LOL. I probably would have gotten very close to it too. I took some great photos of one of those brown spiders you hear about that are poisonous somewhere on my computer. I probably would have taken a macro of it, or I might have, but I didn't think about it. I later learned how dangerous they are. I probably would have then cautiously crept up to it and macro'ed it. :)
Yikes! I would have freaked out! -I inherited arachnophobia from my mother who was always going "eek" when a spider crawled onto our picnic blanket. So naturally I grew up with the idea that spiders were something to be afraid of! (Sigh). Fortunately we donīt have big spiders in Iceland. :-)
eek gentletouch!! was it a brown recluse? my friend got bit by one up at my other house in fortuna and OMG luckily he went to hospital the next day and got treatment... it starts eating away at the skin.. whatever is in the venom YUKKKKY
It was all I could do to maintain my composure karlbark!!! we have black widows here really bad too... only have seen one of those in the house but OMG they are all over in the yard... just terrible scary stuff!
yes uwp.... good he's outside where he belongs.... he tried to get in out of the heat but his bum was toooooo big so he got reported instead by the shreeking kid lol Then shot by me... then put elsewhere away from the door!
i've heard horror stories about people going into outhouses along the appalachian trail and having to make sure to check under the seats before sitting because of brown recluses..... they warn about it for men especially.......
i don't like spiders.
