Such tragedy today has happened.. breaking news for all of us, the climbers, people who love the mountains as well the students...
He was just 33 years old.. and in the last years climbed up so many peaks! In 2008 made Gasherbrum II and Annapurna, in 2007 K2 and Nanga Parbat, in 2006 Cho Oyu, in 2005 Shisha Pangma
He was working as PhD at the Physical Chemistry Division at Warsaw University of Technology
Photography was his second passion. He was draggin bulky cameras with him even to the summits of eight-thousanders and the fruits of his efforts can be seen in the Mountain Photography part of this site:
http://www.piotrmorawski.com/mountainphotography/index.html He also gives slideshows at various mountain festivals, meetings and corporate get-togethers. His articles and photos have been published in a range of mountaineering, adventure as well as other unrelated magazines. For the last two years he has used only digital photography but previously he used to make slides. His collection includes unique photos from mountains and other places hardly ever seen by others..
Hopefully he will enjoy the wider view now from above the clouds than ever before from the mountains.. and hopefully he will get the lovely hut in heaven!
