This is for AshleyChen. Inside the Moana Hotel. We went there for "High Tea", and as we were leaving we saw what was left of a charming table of a young girls tea party. I don't what goodies they had, but I see the dish of vegies is untouched. Joy

What nice ambiance! The vegies untouched? That's what young people have in common with men...they prefer the sweets and in case of dinner the meat...

You go out for tea, and have tea parties? that's interesting! Even young girls? What do they do at these parties, have tea and talk, or is there some kind of ritual about these parties, such as a certain given time in one's life to do this?

This is the "new" thing. The big fancy hotels have a British "High Tea". From 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. We, usually just ladies, go on special occasions. Birthdays, wedding showers, etc. Everyone dresses up, and wears a hat of some sort. and the menu is fancy tiny tea sandwiches with all kinds of exotic filling. Fancy cakes, and tarts. Choice of many exotic teas. You eat on fine china, with real "silver"ware. Its just fun. Its sort of "lets play like we are rich people" Costs about $20.00 per person. But, it is value received. Would you believe that in Ireland they have an "American Tea" that is a "pot luck".
