Hans, thank you very much....definitely cowboy country!! I don't see how cattle could survive on this dry, hot land but they do I guess.

I think if I had to go to the US one day this is one of the places I would love to go to! Great photo!!

Colourful dessert scene because of the nice foreground!

Annaschnitfink.....my brother who lives in this area laughed at me for taking pictures of the dessert but I thought it was absolutely beautiful...so different from my local landscape.........

Toria...thank you so much....I agree with you....the contrast in colours are so unique to me. I live on the east coast of America and we don't have this type of landscape in our area. My brother lives in the Southwest and he finds this to be quite common......
