ps, I now have a Sigma 10-20mm Jake.I can tell already that it is a beauty ! less lens flare/bloom and much better exposure control, plus silent focussing.(HSM)
Excellent photo!
It is nice to compare this spinning wheel with the ones I saw in the museum in Arnhem (Netherlands). The disign is the same, but the dimensions seem to be quite different.
Senna..thank you so very much....I believe these wheels are a bit smaller than most I've seen from this period as well.....I saw some at the Shaker Village we visited last summer and they were larger....
H43....thank you my dear friend.....we had a neighbor that had one of these spinning wheels and it was very relaxing to watcher her spin and twist the yarn with her hands and the spinning wheel....
Tavascarow.....I've never tried to spin but we had a neighbor that spun wool and fur from a rabbit of all things. She made the most beautiful scarfs from the yarn..........So glad you like the photograph.
