Mariolina...thank you so very much....these little yellow birds have been visiting our feeders since we started putting out thistle seed.....they have become quite use to me because as I'm filling one feeder they often continue to feed on the other.....

Foggy..thank you so very much...One of the other fotothing'er pointed out that my ISO was set too high...after lowering the ISO I was able to take this photograph with much greater clarity......I need to make sure I check my camera setting every time...

Carla..thank you so very much...this is a golden finch..they are quite common in our area....beautiful little birds...and quite brave...I can be filling one feeder and they are eating from the one beside the one I'm filling.

One of my favorite little birds too. We get thousands of the 'lesser good finches' every winter, but the American Goldfinch stays away until the lesser one clear out a littl.

Aljd.....yes this is a goldenfinch.....they are very small birds but very colourful....we only had a few last year at our feeders but I got some thistle seed and now we have many...quite fascinating to watch.......
