Afrogie...you are most welcome...your work is so professionally presented....I just got a new camera and this was my first day out...still have lots to learn...thank you for the compliment.......
Rescue193uk....thank you for the marvelous comment...I had to chuckle over the Wizard of Oz reference.....it's almost the "Yellow Brick Road"...laughing..
Wifely...I have just bought a new digital camera and wanted to start learning....we are anxiously awaitng the fall colours in this area...it's absolutely stunning..unfortunately you have to catch it just right because it doesn't last too long........
LynJvV...this is called a "split-rail" fence..it uses no nails or pins....and is usually made from split black locust trees.....it was quite common in rural America before nails became common......adds a unique look on things I believe....
Justju...thank you very much....it's a lovely historical place in American history.....Antieham Civil War Battlefield...Hoping to return when the autumn colours are in full bloom.
Annaschnitfink...thank you so very much...I thought others would like to see the old wooden fences..........I'm so glad that we have preserved this historic location...just as it existed in 1860's......a major event in our history....
