Deafcon1..I'm not too sure what this guy was thinking.....He's definitely a "New Englander"....they have to know you before they show much emotion.....(I just made all that up!).....
Botticcelli..thank you so much....I want to take more portraits....not planned one's...just the candid ones....I find them so interesting.....I liked this guys hat and shirt....pretty neat......
Marijke06...I'm sure he was enjoying himself...we all had a marvelous time at this outdoor jazz festival...the music was great....weather was great....and people were very nice.....
Elise..thank you so very much....I have been trying to learn how to take portraits...candid portraits....I find them extremely difficult to master but I'm trying....thanks for the encouragement..........
Hi Charlotte....I thought this fellow was very interesting....it was obvious he was a man with great self confidence.....of course I wear hats and shirts like that....(not really but maybe someday)...............thank you so much for viewing my photographs.............
ShirKhan...thank you so very much...I'm going to use my telephoto lense more often to try more of these kind of photographs....I find candid portrait photographs to be so much fun............
Yes Jakeobean ..the portraits are for my opinion the most difficult in the photography, becouse they must have a soul, to be spontaneous and natural, always better to not posing and the art is to catch emotions..every kind of emotions...transfer our feelings we had watching a person, child or animal (also)...and this is not so easy. Very often we must be invisible to make a good work. The portrait is a story....a talking image.
Here you made an EXCELLENT WORK. I saw it in full size, is incredible, full of details. This man was completly disinterested for all happening around him and you catched this!
Nika...thank you for the wonderful comment...I fully agree with your assessment of portraits...they are the most difficult and I believe you are absolutely correct when you say that a portrait must have character...must tell a story...it is those photographs that attract my attention first and foremost.....thank you so very much..........
SaintNobody....I'm so glad to meet you....we go up to the jazz festival in Madison quite often...it is a lovely place and the people are wonderful to us.....thanks so much for the compliment and the note..........
Litz... think you are absolutely right..this man was certainly concentrating on something other than the jazz concert......Thank you so much for looking at my photographs........
