Larry...To some extent I agree with you but I also believe it's important for future generations to understand the tragedy of war, especially a civil war. Once a year, the Boy Scouts light a candle for each of the soldiers who lost their lives at Antietam (Approx. 23,000). It is a chilling sight....

WONDERFUL SERIES OF CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT CAPTURES. I HAVE A UNCLE WHICH IS INVOLVED IN THEM, I CAN'T NEVER GET HIM TO TELL ME WHEN THEY ARE DOING THEM SO I CAN TAKE PICTURES, I GUESS I MIGHT AS WELL SHOOT HIM, WITH A CIVIL WAR RIFLE OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

Peter..thank you so very much....when we moved to Sharpsburg, I thought it imperative that I learn more about the American Civil war and more specifically the Battle of Sharpsburg/Antieham...The Union forces named the battles after the nearest body of water and the Confederates names the battles after the nearest town.....
