Most people prefer tropical beaches, of course, but we make the best of it. Lake Michigan's sandy shoreline is magnificent, at least on the Michigan side. And in July and August, it is tropical-like, too.

We had a snowstorm blow through on Friday, probably the last one of the year. With yesterday's sunshine, it was an absolutely perfect combo of snow, sun, and beach.
