I used to have a radio control one of these when I was a kid! Thanks for bringing back the memories JP!

Yeah, it's a Camaro Berlinetta. It's in very, very good condition for being in Michigan, as most of our classics have long ago succumbed to the salted winter roads. This one has the terrible 3.8 liter V6 engine, which may explain why it remains unsold, but this is an awesome candidate for a ZZ4 transplant.

That IS in very very good condition! The replacement engine looks like a good choice. 400 llb ft torque is sweet. 5600 revs seems a little low though. It never ceases to amaze me (not wanting to get into an agrument, just a friendly observation) how little BHP US engines get for the capacity. For example, that V8 produces 355 BHP, which, granted, is a fair amount of power. But if VW can make a 1.4 litre engine produce 200 BHP and Merc do a 5.5 litre V8 producing 550BHP a V8 producing 355BHP seems a little low to me. Now I have said that........I would love this car with that engine, so I have no idea what I am complaining about!

The GM 350 that I linked to is naturally aspirated (no power adder such as turbo or supercharger). It is the 50-year-old overhead valve design with pushrods; decidedly low-tech. And yet it's bulletproof, easy, cheap, can readily be made to generate almost double that power (cam, heads, power adder, etc.), and, like you, people love it.
THAT being said, last summer at one of the cruises I attended, there was a guy with a BMW M5, all tricked out. But the best thing, to me, was that he had true dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, and it completely changed the car's attitude.
Dude, every car is cool. Let's have a beer to that truism! =)
