Great shot! I have never seen snow settle on a beach like that. I went to the beach this weekend too, it snowed while we were there, it seems strange to be on the beach when it is snowing but It's great.

This is the melting season, but usually we can walk a considerable distance out onto the ice, where the wave action has made glaciers and ice-dunes. It's always fascinating to us in the winter.

There's a five-mile stretch here with few houses or other developments. When we're the only ones out there, it's a whole different world. =)

She picked up a piece of wood from the beach and tossed it onto the ice. I barely got the camera to my eye when I saw her picking up the stick, so this was a lucky catch.

A great day...full of nice clean air..i have a lot of water near by...but no beaches...i want a beach ;0))

This was about a 45-minute drive from home. And this time of year, the parks are free, at least the ones that are open.
