And this is the time of year when it's starting to go away. In the middle of coldest season ~ late January until late February ~ the ice forms dunes that go out a few hundred yards. We usually make a trip when it's that cold, exploring the ice caves and getting kind of nervous. When it's snowier, we also bring sleds and do some snow-sledding down the huge dunes, which is a BLAST!
When the water gets a bit chilly around here, we employ 'wetty-warmers'................I suspect that wouldn't be enough for surfing Hoffmaster (?)
;-p
Ah, there's no surfing surf there anyway. When you're camping in a pup-tent up in the woods, and that off-shore wind blows cold and damp at night, that's when your wetty-warmers will come in handy. ;-)
