Every year the 3rd weekend of October is marked as JOTA (Jamboree On The Air) JOTI (Jamboree On The Internet) by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
This is the largest annual WOSM event in which about 500,000 Scouts and Guides from all over the World make contact with each other by means of Amateur Radio (JOTA) and Internet techniques (JOTI).
Like the previous years, the Scout Association of Maldives is taking part in this event. This year the event is held from 19th to 21st October 2007, at Alimas Maalam, Alimas Kaanivaa.
