We could only get into the reception area on the ground floor, which is a shame as I would have liked to go up. It was the same when we came here a few years ago (I think they must have stopped this being a major tourist attraction).
I love this building - it's art deco at it's finest. It knocks spots off the Empire State Building, which has some nice surface features but looks more like a communist block from a distance.
It really was amazing to see, really beautiful to see such wonderful art deco. The Empire State building like you say aint so great, but well as in the movies you just have to do it once and there are some great views. Scariest view though was in the world trade centre. You could go up to the 82nd floor I think and they had this glass floor in one spot so when you stood on it there you just looked straight down 82 flights. Really hit home though after 9/11. To jump must have taken so much courage.
