A tree cut down by the beavers of the area for food some years ago. Today it is covered with moss and a couple of mushrooms here and there. The tree is still lying on the ground beyond the stump. Seems like a poor use of resources to cut down a 40 foot tall tree just to get at the branches but until the beaver learn how to climb the tree and cut the branches off, they will continue to cut down the entire tree. But then a tree without branches and leaves on top would not be worth much either.

It is now a beauty in a different way! I never realized that beavers would be so tenacious as to fell a tree
