My first "good" SLR was a Minolta X700 that Gnoma'am gifted me with right after they came on the market. I ran a lot of film through that camera and have carried it all over Alaska and on vacation in the Lower 48, and it shows. The old X700 is mostly dead, only works in full manual mode, won't meter at all, and getting it repaired is not economical. And then, today, on my usual rounds of the second hand stores, I find this X700. I swear that it's new. The plastic is still on the bottom. No carry marks. No film wear marks. $8.50 USD. I guess I'm a Minolta man again!
