Fotothing Book of Seasons, Part One - Spring

Fotothing is pleased to reveal more about our Fotothing Seasonal Collections.

We previously announced within our newsletter that we will be putting together a Photobook compiled from your Spring photos that will be available for you to purchase, and share with your friends and family.

The first book will be a collection of your best photos inspired by Spring, followed by Summer, Autumn/Fall, and Winter at a later stage.

To ensure that your spring photos are considered for our Spring Book edition please tag relevant photos �springbook�.

Fotothing will be on the look out for our favourite shots of Spring within these categories:

Spring Flowers,

Spring Wildlife,

Spring Landscapes,

We will also consider all other images which typify Spring in your eyes!

* The Closing Date is May 7th 2006, with the book being ready to order as soon as possible.

* Please note that the size and price of the book will be relevant to the amount of photos submitted by Fotothing Members.

* Each member can submit as many pictures as they wish.

* Please be aware that by tagging your photos �springbook� you are also giving Fotothing permission to reproduce your photo in the �Fotothing Book of Seasons, Part One � Spring� book.

If you tag the photo for being put in the book does the photo just get taken from our fotothing or do u contact us to give it to you?
Just thinking sizes and stuff for printing, as I don't upload anything over 550px and that would look terrible printed in a book. (Worked in book/magazine/newspaper layout for a while, have to ask the question :)

ajft - We would be happy to include a page in the book of photos taken from areas in the world currently not experiencing the Spring season.

In such a case, please state as such within the desciption of your photo!

You may also enter photos from your previous Spring.

My experience is, that only 5 from maybe 10 show up in the tag search.
And, btw, mine are also only in low resolution.

I think this is a great idea, and I look forward to the book.
Will the book have descriptions with the foto's?
for instance certain things related to spring my be more significant in one country than in another.
There are some great differences.
In North America, lil things mean more to spring arriving in the northern USA states and in Canada, than in Florida or Georgia, etc tec.

Once the pictures for the book have been chosen each member will be asked a number of questions about their selected photo(s) to help us write a small description for the book.

It is certainly interesting to see how Spring is different around the world, and this will be a topic that will be brought up.

I can also confirm that you also should be sent an email regarding the Springbook!

There are lots of photos and consequently lots of members to get through whilst arranging and finalising the book.

Every member who has had their photo(s) selected should be notified by the end of this week! :)
