These look realy small & similar to our firecrest/goldcrest.
How large are they?

VERY similar to your Firecrest; the firecrests are kinglets. In your country, I suppose our Ruby-crowned, though the Latin is Regulus calendula, would be comparable to your Firecrest without the black head stripes. Our Golden-crowned Kinglet, on the other hand, has the black head stripes and is very very similar to your Goldcrest. Our RCK looks very much like a perpetual juvenile Goldcrest, I suppose. ;) But all of the Kinglets are in the Regulus family. :)
