Imaginative? It wasn't imagination; it was smoke in the air from all the fires that were raging out here from June 20th until about early August. This was one of the smokiest days we had coast-side (the marine breeze often kept the smoke to the inland areas), but this day. . .was smoky as heck and combined with a bit of overcast, created quite a haze and this eerie red sun against the gray.
