Nye Bevan was the archietect for the National Health Sevice which he established as Minister for Health. Sadly he died on 6th July, 1960.
The memorial stands at Bryn Serth, just off the A4047, at a site used by Nye Bevan for public meetings. Symbolically, the central monolith represents Nye Bevan himself, whilst three satelite stones represents his constituents in Ebbw Vale, Tredegar and Rhymney."
