it's beautiful out there!! I sometimes prefer to see seascape in B&W, there's something about it, it intensify the serenity of the place...I like it that you have chosen to turn this into B&W ..oh yeah..I have a B&W landscape photos as my wallpaper in my IMac :-)
lots of interesting elements in this composition, from top till the bottom line..the clouds line, the foggy effect and the reflections, not to mention the middle portion, what is it? simply gorgeous place my friend!

Thanx Jambs....I actually shot this in B&W...I've been trying to shoot more b&w lately , getting back to basics. :-))
Not sure what you mean about the middle section.. ??? it's that sand spit again with logs and stuff leading out to the surf...then way off in the distance is Vancouver island B.C......is that what you mean.. ??

I guess it's because the lower portion down by it's mouth gets really salty when the tide comes in ( as it was when I was there) and tends to stay that way most of the time. At least that would be my guess....I'll see what I can find out for you.... :-))
