I am sorry for the bad quality of this picture but I wanted to show these birds (black grouse) which were sitting in a birchtree near my mothers house last weekend. There were many more of them but I couldnt catch them all on the same pic. It was a cloudy day and I took the picture from inside the car, thats why the picture is so dark and not clear as I had wanted it to be.. hopefully its a little bit better to view in original size.
I think not every picture has to be a fully blown up, close-up, saturated digital... I actually get quite tired of them.
This image is so calming, quiet and beautifully understated. Something that soothes the (my) soul. It reminds me of simple and happy times.
lol... During the wintertime we see those birds quite often when they come near the houses and eat the birch leaves (buds ?? I dont know the english words for it, right now they looks like buds, in springtime it will be leaves :)). I think it must have been about 20 birds in the trees and they really looked beautiful. I wish I have had my other camera and that the weather should have been better then I might had been able to take a better picture.
You are so lucky to have this kind of seasons and scenery, and most of all.... those lovely birds!!!! I simply adores them:) When bird sings, they just cheer me up, and to watch them fly... just set my mind free. Thanks for sharing these great pics :)
