An excellent tribute!
Here in the UK it was heartening to see that more people are participating in the ceremony, though its very sad to think the reason why is that wars have not ended.
Well stated sir !
The veterans are there every year to remember (WW11 vets are getting fewer in number).Yesterday at our ceremony there were WW11 veterans laying wreaths (Including one P.O.W. of Hong Kong), Peace Keepers, RCMP Officers, Ontario Provincial Police , a military contingent from the military base in Petawawa and scouts and guides. The latest name added to our cenotaph was last year when one of our local citizens was ambushed in Afghanistan. It was a very fitting tribute to everyone. .
