The bark of this tree makes me think it is a Willow. It seems to be anchored pretty good although the river keeps washing away the bank, to the point where it has possible caved in/over at some time. What is the name of the river Dony? Do you ever catch fish from this river?

Larry, the name of the river is Mures, one of the biggest in Transilvania, Romania. The photo was taken not very far from the sources, and yes, when I was young I fished in this river :-))
