What might these be 'ruins' of.. ?

brighton pier, i think. somewhere is brighton anyway :]

This is the old West Pier in Brighton. It was closed down due to decay in the 70's. After being allowed to fall partly into the sea someone deliberately set fire to the end section. Now it is just a ruin whilst arguaments still go on as to what a new pier should look like!!! I went on this pier in the late 60's and early 70's. But the Palace pier (now known as Brighton Pier) was always the better one. And that is mostly funfair etc not - not as good as it used to be! My father used to go fishing off the end of the Palace Pier.

not much left of since i have seen it a few years ago !
