Where did you find this, looks like sub tropical rain forest. Fighter - bomber of some type is it. The engine nacelles and cowling looks like it's enormous relative to the cockpit area of the air frame. Allied or Axis I wonder.
Apparently it was a Japanese Ki-21 Sally bomber from WWII near the old Rabaul Airport on New Britain in Papua New Guinea. I photographed it in the early 80's and this entire area is now buried under mountains of ash from a Volcano that erupted more recently, which is a shame as there were so many aircraft wrecks and relics there.
