Captivelight miles herbert nature wildlife landscape donna nook seals seal

This year I let my children come to Donna Nook with me for the annual seal photographing frenzy. They were amazed at how close you could get to these impressively large animals, and of course fell in love with the fluffy white baby seals!

Bundled up against the cold wind, but we were lucky to have bright sunshine all day which was a blessing out there on the exposed sand bar. Now my older daughter wants to take up photography!

Ummm... we thought of taking some back with us and trying to establish a new colony closer by so we wouldn't have to drive 5 1/2 hours just to see them!

The girls really enjoyed the experience, and were very very lucky with the weather. They have already decided that they want to go again next year!
