No Scottish "green" pounds up there?

..Talking about Scottish pounds..I had bundles of them to change into dutch money at the time..like 15000 pounds a day in small notes only, and each bankoffice had a limit of 500 pounds to change at once at the time to avoid moneylaundry..that wasn't funny..I hated it,..the only good thing about was that I had to go together with Helen H, our supermodel britisch secretary..She could tease like a champ,..she was my Boss his GF, I really thought she was testing me for them to see if I would let my self go...I am such a boring guy, they called me helping Harry...But I was Helping Helen more...Nice picture Bowser, brings back great memories...

Oksana: No Scottish pounds here, they are quite rare but we do get some from time to time.

This October I traveled to Great Britain for the first time.To be on the safe side together with MasterCard I took with me some pounds, purchased in local bank in Kiev - they were all in twenty notes. and all the same shape as in you photo. when I came to Edinburgh I received a green note for a change - I thought for a moment that they gave me fake money :) you just reminded me about my confuse with your picture LOL

Hi Oksana, most shops will accept the Scottish currency in England also, I have never had a problem with it as it is still effectively the same money.

I wouldn't even think that there should be any problems in accepting Scottish currency in England. I just explained how ignorant I was. I did not know, that Scots have their own money design :)

They don't like taking them in my part of Lancashire, most shops won't!

megmet, I have never tried that in Lancashire. In and around London and the south they seem to take them. Most shopkeepers will have a look at them first though!
