I don't know when Nissan became a Michigan car; the union workers around here might have a thing or two to say about that phrase!
I have decided that what is right for me is to buy a car that is made in the U.S., no matter the parent company. Corporations are international (GM is more profitable in China than they are here), but employment is local. If all the Nissans and Hondas are made in the U.S., then they're okay by me.
On the flip side, my "American" cars were all made someplace else. The Focus was made in Mexico, the Windstar in Canada and the Montana in Canada.
My former boss has a 350Z in the color of your Altima. Yours is nice, but his is sweet! ;-)
I'm sure you know this, but I was referring to the "Michigan Blue." The freakin' OSU fans have criticized me. I definitely appreciate what you're saying. I've always owned domestics until now. FWIW, this car was built in Smyna, Tennessee.
Oh, duh. I didn't even think about the University of Michigan blue! Hahaha! Stoopid....
And here it is, the day of the Michigan / Michigan State game, too!
GO GREEN! =)
(I have more ties to Ann Arbor, but I'm really an MSU fan, if any fan at all.)
Heh... yeah, it only has 16" wheels. I impressed my friends today with the in-dash Bluetooth. That is so NOT me. I had brake work done to the Barracuda today and drove it 150 - then I jumped in the new car. How brakes have changed! (For the better.)
