Basford is a grimy place, cut in two by a dual carriageway ring-road, its cramped and grey industrial streets are on the northern edge of Nottingham. There's chewing gum and spit, squashed cans and litter. But there is also something charming in it's hard craggy face. This is the little library on the edge of Vernon Park. I have never been in it even though I've lived here for years. In fact when I have had a cup of tea I'm going to walk up there and go inside.
I wonder what it's like . . . | |
