Every year we have a special Radio-broadcast series in Holland. 3 Famous Radio-DJ’s are locked up in a house made of glass for 6 days before Christmas. In these days they do not eat as an honor to the people who are struck by hunger and bad circumstances. All they get is a few glasses of special juice a day made of fruit and vegetables. And they will broadcast for 24hours a day!!
During these days (and weeks before that) people all over Holland organize special events to collect money. PE. music requests on the radio, collecting old bottles, cushion fights, cleaning cars, selling things, cutting hair and soooo many more….. All the money they earn is for the good cause which is chosen by the Red Cross. The good cause this year is : Lets hear it for the Babies”. The money will be used to get better medical care during pregnancy and the birth of babies in countries were that is needed.
This year is the 9th year and the Glass House stands in my hometown. Not all pictures are made by me because it was too busy at the square where it all is happening.
