I had not hear of Kaki but viewing the website listed...I have heard about Persimmon
I have never tried it but it does sound a very tasty fruit.

I know Kaki very well.. buy it often, it is so sweet like honey and very soft when ripe!!
Touch it when you buy it, it must be not hard!

That's a persimmon! We ate lots of them when we were growing up. My father would slice it open and spoon it out.

Anna-Maria , before eat put in refrigerator ice camera , froze like glass .. remove lately and joy sweets what good with soft red wine , tea or any soft pomegranate liquor.

One of my favorite fruits! I'll be slicing one up later today ......

We call them Sharon fruits here Anna-Maria, and when they are ripe they are delicious...I watched a young Chinese lady rummaging through the pile of fruits at the market, and she was testing them gently for ripeness and sniffing them too....so that's what I do!!
